Well Im about as rested and ready as Ill get so today I will make a plan to leave Jerusalem and venture out for a while. Besides Im running out of shots to put up on the blog.

Im thinking I might run down to Eilat along the Jordan and Egypt border. Its a resort town with SCUBA shops all along the Red Sea. YES!!!

The last couple of days has been rainy and windy and of course during Shabbat the whole town is pretty much turned off and locked up.

Good Morning, okay well I think I have it figured out. But I really havent been doing too much this week. Just trying to survive this absolute BRUTAL 70 degree winter here. You know...t-shirt, sunglasses and the occasional beer. Gotta get my vitamins! Plus Ive been just trying to get this blog up.

Other than that I visited a couple of famous spot like the Old City and the Knesset. Im staying on Jaffa streetoutside the Old City this time. I thought this would be a quieter place but as it turns out the intersection that Im on is Ben Yehuda st. which is a busy shopping area in the day time and at night all these street musicians come out and play music. LOUD! Fortunately I remembered to pack earplugs.

But the music is good. The other night while I was walking up the street I came accross a drumline and a little further down was a large group of Chinese students/pilgrims? singing their hearts out playing guitar. A little further down would be a classical guitarist and violinist.

Okay Andy so of all the pics I've taken I only have about 6 good ones. hehe You know the ones that actually say something. The rest are just stock.

So Ive attempted twice to attach a video with this and it has failed both times so I guess Im going to stick with a "Pic of the Day"

Well Im going to make this short since its my first log and Im not sure if it will go through.
I had basically a two day trip. The first leg of my journey was to Amsterdam which I found enjoyable and wouldnt mind going back for a couple more days. The architecture was noteable and the women in the windows were really friendly.
I couldnt stay that long however and fortunately I was able to find a relaxing place to in the airport to kick back for a couple of hours and catch a few z's before my second leg began.
When I arrived in Jerusalem of course I got grilled by security again for about half an hour. After that I caught a cab straight to the Palentin Hotel. I arrived there about 4:30 am and crashed out to about 7:00 am had a hotel breakfast and started to search for hostels that had room available.
I found a place that had rooms on the roof. They're little shacks with beds in them. Or dog houses for people I like to think.
I decided to try to stay up the rest of the day walking around the Old City familarizing myself with everything again. Unfortunately some of my favorite places to eat are no longer here.
Towards later afternoon I was pretty certain my feet were about to fall off from walking so much in the last two days without sleep and I decided to take a nap. Plus the heat was taking its toll on me. So I laid down around 4:30 and didnt wake up again till 11:30 at night.
